The husband of my friend who I’m staying with in DC has one of the most amazing workshops I’ve seen. It’s very dirty and masculine and really nothing that I would normally be interested in except he has a fondness for vintage tools. Vintage tools have vintage logos which make something that I find not particularly interesting instantly soon-worthy.
I prowled around his workshop today taking pictures of the badges and such on his tools and thought I’d share a few of my favorites. There’s something about old typography that is really compelling.
this last one is a particular favorite of mine. I love the art-deco styling.
